In recognition of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Japan, fashion is presented as a universal language in this exhibition curated by Gemma Williams. Hi! Fashion includes a gown from the first collection by celebrated Irish designer Sybil Connolly who launched her couture line in 1957 as well as Japanese visionary Issey Miyake, Kansai Yamamoto who is known for his avant-garde kimono designs, including ones worn by David Bowie in his Ziggy Stardust Tour, master tailor Yohji Yamamoto and the ever edgy Comme des Garçons which is led by Rei Kawakubo.
