This coming Saturday sees the transformation of Blackrock Park into a whimsical wonderland as Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council celebrates Easter with an enchanting afternoon of events, inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
Take a ride in a teacup, walk the ‘Hat Walk’, be a pawn in a giant chess game or take part in ‘Make & Do’ in what promises to be a great day out for all the family. The highlight of the afternoon is set to be the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, with hidden treasures scattered throughout the park, and plenty of Easter treats for those who solve the clues on the Easter Egg Trail.
The afternoon also includes opportunities for children to design and decorate their very own festive Easter Bonnet or Mad Hat, followed by a Hat Walk fashion show enabling them to flaunt their stylish hats in a delightful display of fashion and creativity.
The Easter event also features a Mad Hatter inspired teacup carousel and inflatable bouncing castles, with a prize for the best Easter-themed bicycle adding a touch of whimsy to the event.
Watch out too for guest appearances by the White Rabbit, Alice, and the Mad Hatter himself, while talented face painters will be working their magic and adding an extra touch of festive flair to the occasion.
The Easter Eggscapade will take place on Saturday March 30th from 1-5pm in Blackrock Park, Dublin. Admission is free.
