Sambo supremo Shane Kelly has just opened a second Tír Deli outlet at a new premises in the Vaults section behind the iconic POD off Hatch Street.
We hear that their first day trading there earlier this week was brisk, with all revenue on the day generously donated to Focus Ireland.
For those not familiar with the bill of fare on offer, the delicious deli menu evidences a variety of cooking methods, with processes including fermentation, wood fire, pickling, ageing, and roasting on display across each of their seasonally inspired offerings.
Tír Deli’s take on a variety of nostalgic Irish classics sees a Ham and Cheese Sandwich packed with free-range ham from North Dublin, Irish Cheddar and tasty ham crackling.
Their menu also features some incredible tender Roast Beef Sandwiches, made with succulent smoke-roasted Dexter Beef, Onion Marmalade, Irish Cheddar, Horseradish Mayo and Salt and Vinegar Crisps.
In a departure from tradition, both are available in sandwich or bowl options, while the provenance of all their food is clearly displayed, and features suppliers such as Donabate Dexter, Feighcullen Farm and the Old Bakery Store Dublin.
Coffee is sourced via Cloud Picker.
Guess we can put away our lunch box.
