Dntel – The Robag Whrume Remixes

On the surface of things, Robag Whrume is the perfect choice to reinterpret the electronic pop excursions of former Postal Service member, Jimmy Tamborello. Both producers share a playful sense of melody that’s neither too subtle or too immediate. Whrume keeps it laid back here, turning ‘Bright Night’ into a simmering slice of slow techno that’s perfect for summer larks in the park while ‘Jitters’ becomes first glitching electropop and then a prime example of the warm minimal techno that is Whrume’s calling card. Nothing mind-blowing but immensely pleasurable.
