Dublin Bar Academy, located on Francis Street in Dublin 8, has teamed up with the Vanguard Beer Collective to run a series of beer appreciation courses over eight months, which began with the first edition at the end of April. Each of the courses will take place over four hours and run the gamut of Irish craft beers, from Eight Degrees to Bo Bristle and many more in between.

The course is aimed at both the public – the amateur beer lovers as it were – and professionals within the food and drink industries who want to learn more about what goes into making a particular beer what it is, what flavours are present and, importantly, what food to pair particular drinks with when trying them.

The courses cost €49 per person, and each course is limited to 35 people at a time. Also, obviously, you have to be 18 or over to take part in the course and as a result online registration is necessary. The next beer appreciation course takes place on Saturday 23rd May at 2pm and you can register online at dublinbaracademy.com or call 085-8673296 to book a place.
