Goodbye First Love

Posted May 1, 2012 in Film Previews

Director: Mia Hansen-Løve

Talent:  Lola Créton, Sebastian Urzendowsky

Release Date: May 4th 2012

The original title was in French “Un Amour De Jeunesse” – Young Love – a very concise description of Hansen-Løve’s new feature, which tells the story of two adolescents, Camille and Sullivan, who are madly in love. However Sullivan’s sudden decision to travel the world leaves Camille shellshocked and having to cope with the bitter brutality of a youthful love whilst trying to get by without him.

A charmingly fresh take on love shared between the very young, it’s approach seems to centre on the young girl Camille, and hopes to provide an insight into both the fickleness and transcendental nature of young love in both its most beautiful and unsightly forms.
