Hunt & Gather provide new sensory experiences and aim to broaden your understanding and appreciation of Dublin city. The Hunt & Gather team boast with ambition, creativity and re-imagine things like no other.

Can you explain what the event at City Spectacular will consist of?

The event is being run in conjunction with this year’s city spectacular festival, and we decided to do something quite light hearted to compliment the festival. We are drawing a lot of inspirations from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The evening will be a casual, mild summer evening of dinner and dancing. We will be offering live blue grass music, a drinks reception, a long drawn out evening of food and socialising, wrapped up with a live music and dancing until the small hours. A right homage to summer!

Will your guests have to hunt and gather their own food and if not what you are providing on the menu?

Our guests will not have to hunt and gather their own food, this is an idea that we have thrown around a couple of times. We are thinking or hosting an urban forager’s dinner sometime in the future. However this particular event will be quite an informal, laid back and casual dining. The venue we are hosting in has its own green house/conservatory area. We will transform the venue into a romantic garden party with heavy botanist/botanical influences. The menu will reflect the surroundings of the venue and the concept of the evening. We don’t want to give too much away but expect a fresh summer menu with lots of edible flowers.

What can your guests expect to happen once they pass under the curtain of enchantment?

We always encourage our guests to immerse themselves in the evening festivities completely. Be it by dressing up in fantastical costumes, dancing to the wee hours of the morning or joining us in a new and exciting location. From this event they can expect much of the same as ‘they pass under the curtain’. We will be encouraging our attendees to celebrate all that the summer has to offer with one or two H&G surprises thrown into the mix. They can expect an evening of good food, great music and the best company as we are always blown away with how lovely and friendly our guests are.

What type of adventure does one experience during your events?

The adventure for our attendees varies from event to event. As they differ greatly in theme, idea and often crowd. With them all however we want to encourage our attendees to ‘lose themselves’ in an evening of fantasy and fun! Our main aim to give our guests a unique experience of Dublin with people they may have never met in a place they may have never been to.

Join Hunt & Gather on July 24th at an intimate garden party inspired by the romantic notions of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream
