Roadmap: Our Rolling Stone

Posted March 6, 2017 in Exhibition Previews

For most of us it was the colour saturated images of the war torn Eastern Congo which drew our attention to Irish photographer Richard Mosse.

Using colour infrared film he imbued a disturbing beauty on the landscape and turmoil in his midst.

He returns this spring with some thermal trickery in two exhibits examining the refugee crisis.

Incoming is a new video installation investigating the refugee crisis which screens in the Barbican in London until April 15 while Heat Maps is an accompanying photo series exhibiting currently on view at the Jack Shainman Gallery in New York.
